Siberian cats are generally intelligent, playful, affectionate and loyal. Their fur
is plush, without the tendency to mat, and some claim that it is hypoallergenic
(Some people can be allergic to animal fur). (There is currently a study underway, commissioned at the University of
California (at Davis) to find out about this claim.)
The Siberian Cat is strong in build, a long-bodied cat with powerful
legs and a broad-ish round head. The fur is long, dense and with a heavy under-coat. There
are similarities to the Norwegian
Forest Cat, a possible relative.
Siberian Cats are typically of tabby color
with white ruff and paws. However new colorings are being conceived.
The Siberian cats temperament is similar to that of the Persian cat.
