Shorthair Cat
The European Shorthair Cat
is a breed of shorthaired cat originating in Sweden.
It's similar to but
less cobby than the British
Shorthair.
It's one of the oldest
and very common breeds, but it wasn't standardized as a separate breed for
show purposes until quite late, about 1982.
It is
currently only recognized by one major cat club.
The
European Shorthair
cats evolved from the ordinary European cats and, are stocky in build with a
round, longish head.
European Shorthair
cats have relatively thick strong legs, and a tail of medium-length
and come in a large variety (58) approved colors.
The European Shorthair cat is a hardy intelligent cat of even temperament,
inquisitive, active and
